Idaho Gives is a one-day online fundraising event for nonprofits statewide coordinated by the Idaho Nonprofit Center. This year it is happening on THURSDAY, MAY 4TH!
Donations must be made online at idahogives.org within the 24-hour period on May 4th to count toward the contest and be eligible for additional award money from the Idaho Nonprofit Center.Â

Once again, we’re celebrating Idaho Gives by taking the SNUGGLE EXPRESS on the road! We’re spending the weeks leading up to the event making visits to workplaces across the Treasure Valley with irresistible kittens, dogs and puppies! And on May 4th, you can cuddle with shelter animals at the following locations:
Idaho Gives headquarters at The Mode Lounge, 800 W. Idaho Street in Boise
Noon to 2 p.m.
Mixed Greens, 213 N. 9th Street in Boise
2 to 4 p.m.
Everyone who donates to the Idaho Humane Society through Idaho Gives has a chance to win a Snuggle Express of their own – for their office or a gathering of their friends. We will select one donor at random the day after Idaho Gives.
Your online donation of any amount can also help the Idaho Humane Society win additional funds during Idaho Gives through four different awards:
1. Leaderboard prizes: Participating nonprofits are divided into three groups based on operating expenses. The 10 nonprofits in each group with the most donors on May 4th will win additional cash prizes. Your donation of any size can help boost our overall number of donors and help us stay on the leaderboard.
2. Golden ticket awards: “Golden ticket” drawings will be held hourly throughout the day, starting with a drawing at 7 a.m. for donations received from 12:01 a.m. to 6:59 a.m. A donor will be randomly selected and the nonprofit that person donated toward will win an additional $1,000 cash prize. There will also be “5×5” golden ticket drawings during certain hours of the day. Instead of one $1,000 prize, there will be 5 prizes of $500 each, with a prize going to a nonprofit in each region of Idaho.
3. First donation prize:Â The nonprofit that receives the first donation after midnight on May 4th will receive a $500 prize.
4. Matching fund prizes:Â There will be a regional random drawing at the close of the giving period for all nonprofits who secured and earned matching funds for Idaho Gives day. For example, if a nonprofit secures a $1,000 matching donation for raising $1,000 during Idaho Gives, it is eligible for a $500 bonus donation.
