The Idaho Humane Society’s Pet Food Pantry is a safety net program, designed to provide resources primarily to struggling pet owners and shelter animals.
Our Pet Food Pantry takes place at our Dorman Campus:
4775 W Dorman Street, Boise, Idaho 83709.
The pantry supplies pet food for …
Meals on Wheels deliveries to homebound seniors
Families and individuals facing economic hardship
Shelter animals living in dedicated Idaho Humane Society foster homes
Other animal welfare groups in need of occasional pet food support
Do you need our help?
In order to help keep pets in their homes when their families are struggling financially, pet food assistance is available through a monthly distribution. The Pet Food Pantry can provide a household with food for up to four spayed and neutered animals for up to six months. If your pet is not yet altered, we can also provide you with information on low-cost spay and neuter options.
This program is designed to assist you in caring for companion animals that have been in your household for 3 months or more. While a member of PFP, you agree not to add or replace your pet population by taking in more animals or allowing animals in your household to breed.
Within 3 months of joining the program, ALL pets in the household MUST be spayed or neutered. We offer reduced fee spay/neuter through IHS Veterinary Medical Center for low-income individuals and families if you need assistance. Subsidized pricing for spay/neuter is $35 for a dog or $10 for a cat. PFP clients qualify to receive veterinary services through our low-cost public veterinary clinic and may qualify for additional discounts based on income and other factors. Contact our clinic at (208) 342-3599 for more details on services and pricing.
