BOISE, Idaho — The new Idaho Humane Society animal shelter is almost ready to open.
The $15 million Boise facility on Overland, just east of Maple Grove, is awaiting final approval.
“Right now we’re testing equipment and going through final code checks to make sure we’re ready to go,” Idaho Humane Society communications manager Kristine Schellhaas said.
The new center will act as an adoption center and veterinary care facility. A need which is in high demand, especially to help low income pet owners who might not otherwise get the care that their pets need.
