Boise, ID (CBS2) — The Idaho Humane Society is warning of scam calls targeting pet owners who have lost their pets in the Treasure Valley.
IHS says the scammers pretend to be animal control officers who say they have found the missing pet and they ask for payment over the phone.
The scammers also make it look like they are calling from the Idaho Humane Society.
IHS would like people to know that they would not ask for money in the cases of lost pets. Read more…
