The leaves and weather are changing, but the intake of cats and kittens at the Idaho Humane Society remains steady. Just last week, we received 205 cats and kittens! This September, we took in 553 felines and the month isn’t over yet.
Our shelter is filled with some terrific cats and kittens, and we’re hosting a special cattery adoption event so the community can fall in love with a new family member. Now through October 7th, cats and kittens can be adopted for a minimum donation of just $5 – that’s a great value which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips and more!
We currently have 8 remaining cats from the hoarding case housed in our education room. These cats are shy and may need a bit more time to work on socialization. We’re offering these cats to the public on a special foster-to-adopt program. It’s an excellent way to get to know the cats over a period of time with the option of returning them, but we’re confident these cats will blossom with time and attention.
We’re grateful to the Treasure Valley community for the continued support of the Idaho Humane Society. Our shelter is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily.
