BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Talk about a lucky dog. 11-year-old Ace is recovering after a close call with a stick.
Ace arrived at the Idaho Humane Society’s veterinary hospital with a large stick protruding from the right side of his stomach. IHS’s veterinary staff performed an exam and set up a strategy for his surgery.
“Miraculously, the stick protruded at an angle, missing all his organs. We were able to successfully remove the stick without any complications and we’re happy to report that Ace is now home relaxing and recovering,” said IHS in a Facebook post.
