FAQ’s to Aluminum Can Recycling (and more!) benefitting the Idaho Humane Society

We recently stopped by Pacific Steel & Recycling for a tour and learned many items can be recycled, providing a few cents to several dollars per pound. Every penny counts, and every item diverted from the landfill makes a big impact. There are two locations in the Treasure Valley, but supporters can ask for funds to be donated to the Idaho Humane Society from any of their locations in the Northwest Region, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, N and S Dakota and more! It’s easy to give back; let them know you’d like the funds to benefit the Idaho Humane Society!

  • 5120 W Emerald St, Boise, ID 83706
  • 2515 E. Comstock Avenue, Nampa, ID 83687

All aluminum DRINKING cans MUST be separated from food and other types of aluminum since they pay a substantially higher amount (the going rate is 40 cents/lb vs 3.5 cents/lb). English Brochure. Spanish Brochure.

Here are other items that they also accept, many of which pay funds:

A big thank you to Pacific Steel & Recycling and all our supporters who give back to support our homeless pets.
