Ages 16-17
Thank you for your passion and commitment to animal welfare! We’re thrilled that you’re enthusiastic about getting youth involved. At the Idaho Humane Society, we offer two programs specifically designed for kids aged 16-17 to engage and make a difference.
SHORT TERM OPPORTUNITIES
- Supervised Humane Education Program
- No Onboarding Classes
- Earn hours for school or other programs, -or-
- Come because you want to learn and help
LONG TERM OPPORTUNITIES
- Youth volunteers aged 16-17 can volunteer solo nearly everywhere in our shelter except with animal handling.
- Must sign up to volunteer for at least six months
LONG TERM OPPORTUNITIES
- May opt to volunteer alongside a pre-approved adult, if desired
- Adult is the only one allowed to handle animals
- Must sign up to volunteer for at least six months
