Book a visit to IHS for your Scout Troop!
Scout Hour: Educational Presentation and Tour with our Humane Educator. Cost is $45.
Location: 1300 S. Bird Street in Boise. Enter at the Education Center (north end of the building)
Length of Tour: 1 to 1.5 hours
If you would like to explore different dates or can’t make it at 5:00pm, please email our Education Department at education@idahohumanesociety.org.
- Education presentation: Includes overview of IHS, animal safety, ways to help, and respectfully approaching animals
- Tour of the facility: Includes cattery, dog kennels, small animal room, and some behind-the-scenes spots
- Next steps: After you register and provide payment, please have attendees sign Liability waivers. Please bring (or email) signed waivers on the day of your visit.
Girl Scouts Patch
Girl Scout “Fun” Patch: The Idaho Humane Society has partnered with Silver Sage Girl Scouts to create an Idaho Humane Society patch ($5.00 per patch).
Girls will learn about pet responsibility, animal safety, and complete projects for shelter pets while earning their new patch. Patches can be purchased at checkout when booking the tour.

Eagle Scouts/Gold Award Projects
We are happy to work with Scouts in need of projects. If you are a Scout and are interested in partnering with IHS, please complete the following form, and our education coordinator will reach out to you.
Waivers & Participation Fees
Waivers
- All minors must submit a signed Waiver/Permission Slip.
- All adults must sign a Release of Liability Waiver.
- Signed Forms may be emailed to education@idahohumanesociety.org or turned in the day of the scheduled tour.
