For years, the group of volunteers has trapped and neutered hundreds of cats on the property, aiming to reduce the large feral cat population within Garden City, the group stated. The group was paying out of pocket to do so, but in recent years, a “trap-neuter-return” (TNR) contract exists between the city and the Idaho Humane Society, allowing them to bring a feral cat into the shelter to be neutered free of charge.
