Below are some items we can always use at our shelter, but this list is not all-inclusive! We receive many unexpected, unrequested and wonderful donations of equipment and supplies each year.
Think you may have something we could use? Just ask!
We’re open daily from 10am-6pm (except major holidays) and you can simply drop the donation off in the bin near the shelter front desk. There’s no need to make an appointment! If you’d like a receipt, please ask for one at the front desk. You can also drop supplies at participating Zamzows, Northwest Pets, PetSmart, and Petco locations as well.
Contact Kendall Schreiner at (208) 387-2760 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
We take prescription food, both opened and new! We even take food in canisters or unmarked bags. We are unable to take prescription medication.
If you don’t have the time or ability to pick up an item and drop it off at our shelter, Amazon is a great option! Check out the currently needed items on our Amazon Wish List – donations can be shipped directly to us from the comfort of your home!
The Pet Food Pantry provides dog and cat food to families and individuals in need of assistance and to homebound seniors through Meals on Wheels. It also helps us maintain our pet food supply for foster care families and provide pet food to other local animal welfare organizations. Cat food is always in particular demand! You can learn more about the program here.
We want the dogs at the shelter to be as comfortable as possible while they wait to be reunited with their owners or find a new home. Our kennel floors are hard, so having a nice off-the-ground bed makes a huge difference. Kuranda allows you to purchase a bed for the shelter at a low price and have it shipped directly to the shelter. Click here to donate bed!
Did you know that we accept aluminum cans for recycling? We make approximately $700 a month thanks to our generous supporters. You can drop the cans off in a gated area located at the front of our shelter, or at any Zamzows across the Treasure Valley.
