Needed Items

Supply Wish List

Below are some items we can always use at our shelter, but this list is not all-inclusive! We receive many unexpected, unrequested and wonderful donations of equipment and supplies each year.

Think you may have something we could use? Just ask!

Donations can be made:

At our new shelter:

1300 S. Bird Street
Boise, Idaho 83709

Veterinary Medical Center: 8am to 6pm daily
Shelter: Tues thru Sat: 11am to 7pm, Sunday 11am to 5pm

At our old shelter:

4775 W Dorman Street
Boise, Idaho 83709

8am to 6pm daily

(this is where we prefer donations be dropped off as we have to transport them back here ultimately)

We are unable to take:

  • sheets
  • pillows
  • mattress pads
  • upholstered chairs/couches

We’re open daily from 10am-6pm (except major holidays) and you can simply drop the donation off in the bin near the shelter front desk. There’s no need to make an appointment! If you’d like a receipt, please ask for one at the front desk. You can also drop supplies at participating Zamzows, Northwest Pets, PetSmart, and Petco locations as well.

Amazon Wish List

If you don’t have the time or ability to pick up an item and drop it off at our shelter, Amazon is a great option! Check out the currently needed items for our various programs; donations can be shipped directly to us from the comfort of your home!

Donate food for pets in need

The Pet Food Pantry provides dog and cat food to families and individuals in need of assistance and to homebound seniors through Meals on Wheels. It also helps us maintain our pet food supply for foster care families and provide pet food to other local animal welfare organizations. Cat food is always in particular demand! You can learn more about the program here.

Donate dog beds for our kennels

We want the dogs at the shelter to be as comfortable as possible while they wait to be reunited with their owners or find a new home. Our kennel floors are hard, so having a nice off-the-ground bed makes a huge difference. Kuranda allows you to purchase a bed for the shelter at a low price and have it shipped directly to the shelter. Click here to donate a bed!

Donate aluminum cans

Did you know that we accept aluminum cans for recycling? We make approximately $700 a month thanks to our generous supporters. You can drop the cans off in a gated area located at the front of our shelter, or at any Zamzows across the Treasure Valley.
