BOISE, Idaho — An ambitious Golden Retriever is safe and sound after an early summer swim resulted in a police rescue in Boise.
The Boise Police Department said one of its officers saved the dog from an irrigation canal near Cole Road and Poplar Street after the pup found itself stuck in rocks.
The police officer carried the tired pup to safety, embracing the soaking wet uniform and paw prints to follow. Boise Police said the Idaho Humane Society stepped in and the Golden Retriever has reunited with family. Read more…
