Low Cost Spay and Neuter

Stop Pet Overpopulation Today

An important part of fulfilling our mission at the Idaho Humane Society is accomplished through our vigorous spay and neuter programs. That is why every dog, cat and rabbit adopted from the Idaho Humane Society shelter is spayed or neutered before leaving for a new home.

Our Veterinary Medical Center also provides high-quality, affordable spay and neuter surgeries for public animals. Through the SPOT (Stop Pet Overpopulation Today) program, our medical center performs nearly 10,000 spay and neuter surgeries each year.

Help your pet live a longer, healthier life by scheduling a spay or neuter surgery today! Our Medical Center performs the procedures 7 days a week, all for affordable prices.

Program for pit bull dogs and feral cats

The Idaho Humane Society sees an abundance of pit bull type dogs relinquished by their owners or arriving as strays, as well as feral cats from all across the Treasure Valley. The Veterinary Medical Center offers extremely reduced fees to spay and neuter these specific animals. This program for pit bull dogs and feral cats is NOT income-qualifying; any household is eligible to participate.

Feral cats: $15 spay or neuter (cats must be in a trap and traps are available on loan). Schedule by calling (208) 968-1083.
Pit bull type dogs: $40 spay or neuter. Schedule by calling or texting Jenn at (208) 866-1629.
