“We now have a metro area that brings on a whole host of issues and also society has sort of evolved in terms of our human-animal bond, things we’re concerned about today, weren’t concerned about in the past and some of the issues we have in the community involving animals amongst ourselves have changed over the years so the ordinance itself covers a wide ranges of topics from dogs off leash to animal cruelty concerns to keeping wildlife and exotic pets covering many many topics within that code that involve a lot of different interest groups. They all involve the Idaho Humane Society. We really want to see improvement throughout the code, modernization and we look forward to a process where we can get to the end result,” Dr. Jeff Rosenthal.
