See Spot Walk, benefiting the Idaho Humane Society, is
Idaho's largest dog walk and happens each year on the first Saturday in
October. The 1-mile dog walk at Julia Davis Park with 3,000+ dog lovers of the
Treasure Valley grows each year. Sponsors make this wonderful event possible!

season! …The season for ALL of the companion animals at the Idaho Humane
Society shelter to find loving homes, just in time for the holidays. Follow
along on KTVB Noon News, the Idaho Humane Society Facebook page, and website
during the 12 week-days leading up to Christmas to help us find adoptive homes
for the warm, friendly, furry 12 Strays of Christmas while making the adoption
of Idaho’s shelter pets a priority. We also celebrate the 12 Strays of Christmas at our Holiday Adopt-a-thon, typically a Saturday in mid-December, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All foster pets are onsite for adoption, some pets may have reduced
adoption fees and there will be special treats, promotions in our See Spot Shop
and a visit from Santa from noon-2 p.m.
The Friends for Life Pet Pix Calendar Contest runs
annually, usually starting in July and closing in early October. All entrants
are featured, some are selected as Monthly Models by the public, and some by a panel of local judges.
Your $15.00 entry fee helps us care for the pets at the shelter year round. You'll find a slider with entry link on our Home Page when our contest is active. Currently, the contest is over and we have sold out of the 2017 Calendar.

bite. Bitten dogs may have
to be treated for several days in the hospital, and costs can reach into
thousands. A dog detecting a rattlesnake can signal an owner to avoid
Porcupine quills often work their way in and under a dog's skin, causing infection and in some cases, death. Learn more about awareness and avoidance during this annual class session held in Julia Davis Park by clicking HERE
