Your support does incredible things year-around for the Idaho Humane Society. Because of your gifts, so many homeless and neglected animals in our community get a second chance. I want to make sure you know that every gift you give to IHS is put to use thoughtfully and efficiently to help as many animals as possible. Because of your generous support provided, it gives homeless and abused animals the second chance they deserve.

Just after Darcy started her journey with us at the Idaho Humane Society.
Darcy was living in pain from a traumatic injury, likely from getting caught in a train track or animal trap. When she was brought to us from Jerome, Idaho, our medical staff discovered that one of her front and one of her back paws were crushed. When we examined her, we were thrilled to learn that we would not have to amputate either leg and we were able to successfully perform surgery to prevent her from living in pain for the rest of her life.
Darcy was making great progress when suddenly she encountered an infection. She is still being treated and is foster care with her tremendous foster mom, Julia L.
Darcy had to endure several weeks of painful injections that were not only arduous to provide, but very painful for Darcy to receive. Of course, all of these injections were necessary in order to keep her on a path to making a full recovery. Darcy’s journey with us is nearly over, thanks to the constant diligence from her foster mom.

Darcy today. She is a striking, healthy dog nearly ready for adoption.
When you give to IHS, you are helping make more stories like Darcy’s possible. Your donation helps provide cats and dogs with:
- Food and shelter
- Medical care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgeries
- Adoption services and behavioral training that ensures a smooth transition into loving homes
- And so much more!
As a nonprofit charity, we make sure your support is used to help as many animals as possible. In fact, 86.1 cents of every dollar you give goes directly to help animals in need. By operating so efficiently, we can ensure that each animal receives exactly what he or she needs to achieve a better life.
Today, I hope you’ll commit to helping even more cats and dogs in our community by sending your next tax-deductible gift or donating online today.
Thank you again for partnering with us in this incredible work.
Gratefully,
Dr. Jeff Rosenthal, DVM
