Skitty is a stunning black-and-orange tortoiseshell cat. She was surrendered to the shelter because of the death of her previous owner and has been waiting patiently for her new forever home. Skitty will affectionately rub heads with humans to show how friendly she really is. She is a secret huntress – seemingly disinterested in toys until a back is turned, and then she pounces!
She absolutely loves toy mice, exploring, and climbing on her cat tree. Her foster mom says: “She loves being petted endlessly and loves kisses on her forehead, but is not as comfortable being picked up or held. She loves face scratches and back scratches and she does lots of windmills with her adorable knotted/previously broken tail. She’s incredible at using the litter box. In our nearly a month fostering I’ve never had her hiss at anything other than my other cats.” Skitty has adapted to life in her foster home very well and is ready for a new home of her own. She would be an amazing companion for an older person without kids that will just give her lots of love and pet her without picking her up. Children frighten her so she will be happiest in a home with teenagers or adults only.
Skitty is FIV+ and does not like other animals, so she needs to be the only pet. She also needs to be an indoor-only cat. There is a medical waiver for her chronic cough and sneeze, but this does not stop her from being a super loving cat.
