Kiri is a calm, timid girl who is hoping to find that special someone who will bring her home. She is an intelligent girl that knows several tricks such as “sit”, “roll over”, “sit pretty”, “bang/play dead”, “dance for me”, “hop, “walk”, “spin”, “shake”, and “high five.” As you can see, she’s got quite the repertoire and she loves to show off her smarts. She is incredibly eager to please and works well for vocal praise and treats. Kiri also walks great on a leash, will go into her crate (for food), and we have been told she is house-trained. While she is sweet, she is also extremely shy- especially when it comes to strangers, men, and large dogs. Kiri would benefit from more socializing. It will help her feel more confident and less intimidated by new people and places. She is also sound sensitive so more socialization will help with that. All in all, this is a nice, small dog who enjoys hugs and human contact once she is comfortable and feels secure. She could be a nice companion for a calm home. She was not evaluated with cats but she does well with smaller dogs. As of now, it is recommended she go to an adult-only home. Although she will allow you to handle and pick her up, she is definitely more comfortable with all of her paws on the ground. She would make a great cuddle companion on the couch.
